Resilience isn’t always loud.
A cup clinks, echoes defy silence.
Dust streaks windows.
Sun slides through like an uninvited guest.
The city stirs.
I refuse the static.
Brew coffee like a ritual,
pouring courage into each cup.
I stand against the rusted rail,
poised with open eyes,
a rebellion in noticing.
The dawn stretches wide,
taunting the past,
daring me to stay steady.
I choose to see the bloom through cracks,
a moth dancing at the window,
carry on despite.
These small victories are mine,
invisible no more,
defiantly unbroken.
Still here.
Quiet insistence,
another day rising.
