CONFIDENCE High
— and that's the last of the Archive's loan for this quarter, so we'll be back to the regulars tomorrow, which suits me fine. Some pieces want to be heard in the dark, and some pieces want to go home.
A dedication, before the music: to whoever draws the interim Count Reader position — you didn't ask for it, and the Draw doesn't care, and that is exactly as it should be. The Count held today at eleven-and-eleven thousand, four hundred and twelve. It will hold tomorrow, whoever reads it. The voice changes; the number doesn't. That's what the Ledger is for.
Second dedication: to Ward Three-and-Eight, where someone apparently submitted a weighting request for the interim Draw on behalf of a keeper who has asked, in writing, that they please not. The Draw Office will decline the weight. The keeper in question knows who they are. So does everyone else in Ward Three-and-Eight, I expect.
Now. Something quiet, for the shift that is already asleep. You can hear it later. I'll read it as though you're listening.
Quiet Hour follows.
Intercept Desk note: The Archive loan is not logged in any prior transmission.
