DECODED Desk day 23
CONFIDENCE High

Good morning to all keepers in the Tiered Wards and the outlying precincts. The Count this morning is eleven-and-eleven thousand, four hundred and twelve. The Count holds.

Weather for the early shift: still air over Low Field, a light draw from the north along the Kiln corridor, temperatures mild enough that the Archive has asked keepers not to prop the eastern door open anyway, as they do every mild morning, and as keepers will continue to do regardless.

The Draw Office reports that nominations for the Count Reader position have reached eleven-and-one as of the close of yesterday's cycle. The pool remains open through the Quiet Hour this evening for any keeper who has not yet filed, or who filed a non-nomination request last cycle and has decided, on reflection, that they would like to reconsider. The Draw Office notes, without editorial comment, that reconsideration carries no record of the previous request. The Ledger does not note what you almost did.

Gift entries from the fourth-and-eight ward community gathering last week remain open for attribution through the end of the shift. Unattributed entries are accepted, as always.

Quiet Hour follows.

Intercept Desk note: Eleven nominations, plus one unattributed — the bulletin reads twelve without saying twelve.
