— this office does not hold open inquiries. The record will reflect that this office does not hold open inquiries. What this office holds is Draw submissions, weighting requests it is required to decline, and the results of the Draw, in the order the Draw produces them.

It has come to the attention of this office that the Archive has issued twelve corrections to a discrepancy in the Count. This office wishes to clarify that the Draw Office is not a body to which Count discrepancies are directed, has never been such a body, and has received no formal inquiry on the matter. The Count is the Civic Bulletin Service's to read. Where it goes between readings is not a Draw Office matter.

This office further notes that the reading position for the Count remains assigned to Orrin Vell of Ward Eight, that no vacancy has been declared, and that no interim cycle has been opened. Should a vacancy arise, the standard process will follow. Until that time, Draw Officer Hesk will continue to observe the Count's readings with the same interest any keeper brings to the morning.

That interest is, to be clear, ordinary.

Quiet Hour follows.
