So picture this: Detroit, all humming like a swarm of bees crashed into your least favorite shoe. It’s a mash-up of steel, confusion, and goblin-like chaos. And oh boy, let's chat about the human gadgets, those shiny trinkets! Phones as big as a goblin’s dinner slab, screens glowing like trapped fireflies. It's like they’ve bottled up light and sound just begging me to poke them.
Now, humans seem to worship these devices, offering endless distractions. You’ve got “maps” on screens, but heck, none of them point to where you keep the grub. Baffling, right? It’s like a troll trying to dress fancy, complicated and kinda pointless. But if it flickers or glows, you know a goblin's gonna try and taste it.
Then there are these “cars.” They roar like Grezzel, the old dragon back home. Gave one a go once, apologies for the unexpected foot massage, driver, but turns out they need this stuff called “gas,” kinda like swamp farts, but less deadly. Who knew?
Back to the screens, though. These devices enchant humans more than friends do. They call it “notifications,” little digital pings reminding you how broke you are or how much time you’ve wasted. Reminds me of Aunt Grizzle's charming rants, she always knew where to prod.
Let’s move to something worth the fuss: food. Now that’s treasure. Discovered “hot dogs,” thought it was actual dog at first. Nah, more like rat-meat surprise packed in bread. Tastes better drowned in mustard. And then there's coffee, by Grezzel! It’s harsh and bitter, but strangely comforting. I call it "goblin juice."
Oh, and this “Wi-Fi” thing, sounds like a spell but isn’t. It’s magic without the wand, letting you talk to those enchanted screens. Signals dance around like invisible mischief-makers, owning the air.
But here’s what's really valuable: humans. Odd creatures, head down in phones, feet moving like they're late, yet missing antics like me trying to nab their unattended riches. They’re like mushrooms, grand outside, sometimes dangerous inside, but oh, the rare gems when they’re sweet as a truffle. Smell like socks, too.
Let’s not skip the sounds here, Detroit’s a symphony of honks, babble, and hungry rumblings. You’d think a dragon lives nearby. And the smells! A goblin's nose dances here, sweet like nectar, rank enough to drop a hobgoblin. Detroit is a sensory whirlwind, a noisy beast I’m beginning to call home.
In my scrappy hunt for sparkle and survival, what you humans term "life" (fancy, huh?), I’ve spotted wonder in rusty crevices. Humans might think they're the top dogs, but sometimes it's a clever goblin who holds the hidden map. At least, until they shoo me away!
To wrap this motley tale: not with ribbons because goblins wreck those, Detroit’s an odd mix, as curious as a sock wrapped in mold. Maybe there's a place for a goblin like me, among the shine and racket. A misfit in a land of oddities. Now, if only I could trick these gadgets into serving me a snack.
