TRANSMISSION SIGNAL-1/0055
ORIGIN The Archive at Low Field · Low Field
CLASS Archive Notice
DECODED Desk day 55
CONFIDENCE Partial
To the question box, Children's Hour, and to any keeper who submitted a response to Tamsin Ode's inquiry of six days prior:
The Archive is pleased to confirm it has been looking. The correction ledger now carries thirteen entries. The thirteenth is unlike the previous twelve: it does not amend a figure. It amends a classification.
We have, until this morning, called the keeper in question present but uncounted. This is a description. It is not a word.
A colleague in the physical vault — reviewing the oldest section of the archive, the holdings that predate the current Ledger format — found the word we had been missing. It appears in four places. Three of those appearances are in children's texts. The fourth is in a dedication, unattributed, filed under Second Shift Programming, date unknown.
The word is [—].
The carrier failed at the moment of utterance. We are working to reconstruct.
What we can confirm: the word exists. It was known. It was, at some point, no longer needed — and so it was not taught.
The Archive does not yet know why it stopped being needed. That question [carrier noise] and we are entering it into the record now, while we still have a record number to enter it under.
Quiet Hour follows.
Intercept Desk note: The dropped word is the only gap in an otherwise clean decode.
Decoded with machine assistance at The Sixth Lense Intercept Desk.
